Concrete is unforgiving. Every shortcut — thin base, light steel, wet mix, no control joints, no curing — is invisible on pour day and obvious within two years. Doing it properly is a sequence, and the sequence is everything.
We form and pour shed and carport slabs, driveways, paths, house extensions and decorative finishes: plain grey, exposed aggregate, and honed surfaces. Steel is specified to the load, joints are saw-cut on time, and slabs are cured, not just left.

Flatwork that doesn't crack its promises
Concrete cracks; control is the craft. Cuts placed where panels want to break, mesh sitting in the middle of the slab instead of the bottom, and moisture managed while it cures — that's the difference between crazing at year two and a slab that outlives the house. For driveways we pour to vehicle-rated thickness over compacted base, never straight onto clay.
Exposed aggregate, shark-grip broom finishes for slopes, or steel-trowelled floors under future rooms: finish follows use. We'll tell you when plain grey is the right answer, too.

How much does a concrete driveway cost in Adelaide?
Plain grey concrete in Adelaide typically prices at $95–$130 per m² installed, exposed aggregate at $130–$180 per m², assuming standard access and a driveway-grade 125 mm slab with SL72 mesh over compacted base. Small pours cost more per metre because establishment costs don't shrink with the job.
Will my slab crack?
All concrete shrinks as it cures — roughly 0.6 mm per metre. Uncontrolled, that shows up as random cracking; controlled, it happens invisibly at saw-cut joints. Correct steel, joint spacing at 24–36 times slab thickness, and proper curing is how we keep cracking where it belongs: in the joints.
What slab do I need for a shed or carport?
Most domestic shed slabs in SA are 100 mm with SL72 mesh on compacted base; carports and workshops with vehicle loads step up to 125 mm, with thickened edges and footings sized to the frame manufacturer's engineering. We pour to the shed engineer's spec and provide the compliance documentation.
Exposed aggregate or plain — how do I choose?
Exposed aggregate costs more but hides tyre marks and staining, adds slip resistance, and reads as a designed surface rather than infrastructure. Plain grey is the budget workhorse and suits utility areas. Honed finishes sit at the premium end for alfresco and pool surrounds.
