Artificial Turf

A permanently perfect lawn, engineered underneath

Priced per m² supplied and installed — book and pay online.

Artificial turf succeeds or fails underground. The turf itself is a manufactured product with a known lifespan — what separates a lawn that stays flat and drains fast from one that wrinkles and puddles is the base: excavation, crushed rock, compaction, and edges that hold.

We install premium 35–40 mm Australian-standard turf engineered for UV stability under Adelaide sun, over a compacted crushed-rock base with weed membrane, joined and pinned properly, finished with silica infill brushed into the pile.

Turf supply and lay is one of our instantly bookable services — priced per square metre online, with the total locked before we start. Scroll the installation below.

The difference is the base and the blade

Cheap synthetic lawn fails twice: a base that ripples in the first hot summer, and a blade that flattens and shines. We build the same compacted, draining base we'd put under paving, then lay 35mm-plus turf with UV warranties measured in decades, sand-dressed so it stands up and stays cool enough to walk on.

Where real lawn is the brief, preparation is the job: decompacted, amended soil, species matched to sun and traffic, and irrigation done before the roll goes down. Green is easy in October — our benchmark is green in March.

Artificial Turf — FAQs

How much does artificial turf cost installed in Adelaide?

Professionally installed premium turf in Adelaide typically runs $100–$140 per m² including strip-out, base preparation and infill — our published rate sits in this band and is bookable online per m². DIY-grade supply-only turf is far cheaper but the installed price difference is almost entirely in the base work, which is what determines how the lawn looks in year five.

How hot does artificial turf get in an Adelaide summer?

On a 38-degree day, standard artificial turf surfaces can reach 60–70°C in full sun — hotter than bare feet want. Lighter pile colours, cooling infills (like TCool-treated sand) and a quick hose-down all reduce surface temperature meaningfully. For west-facing yards we'll talk honestly about shade before you commit.

Is artificial turf OK for dogs?

Yes — it's one of the most common reasons Adelaide households switch. We use permeable backing turf, a free-draining base, and an antimicrobial infill option for pet areas. Solids pick up as on grass; urine rinses through with an occasional hose.

How long does artificial turf last?

Quality Australian-standard turf carries 8–10 year UV warranties and typically performs well beyond that on residential lawns. The base, if built properly, outlasts multiple turf cycles — replacement decades later is a re-carpet, not a rebuild.
