Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 August 2026

Adelaide Outdoor Improvements ("AOI", "we") is committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

  • Enquiries and quotes: name, contact details, site address, project details and any photos you upload.
  • Bookings: the above plus your selected service, date, job notes and payment confirmation. Card details are processed by Stripe and never touch our servers.
  • Website analytics: only after you accept cookies — usage data via Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager, and advertising measurement via Google Ads. Declining cookies disables all of this; the site works fully without it.

Why we collect it

To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, schedule and perform works, process payments, send booking confirmations and service communications, meet legal and tax obligations, and (only with consent) measure our website and advertising performance. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

Service providers that make the business run, each bound by their own privacy obligations: Stripe (payments), our email provider (transactional messages), our job-management/CRM system (scheduling your work), and Google (analytics/ads, only after consent). We share information with subcontractors only as needed to perform your works, and otherwise disclose it only where required by law.

Storage and security

Data is stored with reputable providers using encryption in transit and at rest. Some providers (e.g. Stripe, Google) store data overseas, including the United States; we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protections. We retain records as long as needed for the purposes above and for statutory periods (e.g. tax and building records), then delete or de-identify them.

Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time, or withdraw cookie consent via your browser settings (deleting the aoi-consent cookie re-presents the choice). Contact us at hello@aoilandscaping.com. If you believe we have breached the APPs, contact us first; you may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
